slam constitutes 4.3% of total population  in Myanmar whereas 87.9% is the population of Buddhism and 6.2% are Christians. Myanmar is famous for its abundant natural resources. Myanmar is considered as the Golden Land. But now, the the reason of being famous is changing. The people who are known for follower of peace in Buddhism are red handed by the blood of one ethnic group known as Rohingya Muslims. A label of Buddhist terrorism grew on the face of earth from Myanmar. Thousands of Rohingyas are being killed and millions of them have been forced to leave their home. Millions of Rohingyas have migrated to Bangladesh, India and Malaysia. After all, the world is silent upon the Myanmar government and no one is caring for Rohingyas, just because they are the followers of Islam.

Now, let us discuss how Lumbini is connected with Rohingya and Myanmar.

Lumbini is the birth place of Lord Gautam Buddha from where the religion of Buddhism evolved. Lumbini is place in Southern part of Nepal. Lumbinī is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the Rupandehi District of Province No. 5 in Nepal. The government of Nepal has established a Lumbini world heritage site. The holy site of Lumbini is bordered by a large monastic zone in which only monasteries can be built, no shops, hotels or restaurants. It is separated into an eastern and western monastic zone, the eastern having the Theravadin monasteries, the western having Mahayana and Vajrayana monasteries. The ariel  view of Lumbini site is shown below.

In this view, when we put our eyes closer, we would find the total lumbini world heritage has been surrounded by four Masjids. These four masjids within this small area suggests about the Muslim population in this area. These Muslims have been living here since the time unknown to them. Before few years when government has not planned this world heritage site, the land was owned by these Muslims of this area. When government planned about the Lumbini world heritage site, government asked for the land and people provided but some are still unpaid for their land. Although, they did not agitate and they are in process of repay.

What my point is, in the birth place of Buddha, the majority are Muslims who provided their land to make Buddhist shrine and stupas even the Lumbini contains stupa of Myanmar but what Myanmar’s Buddhist people did to minority Muslims that they forced out to leave their homeland, killed Muslims, tortured and raped Muslims.

The Buddhists of Myanmar should learn from the Muslims of Lumbini that what these Muslims have contributed for Buddhism. These Muslims in Lumbini are not banned to zibah their animals on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. Their is complete religious harmony between all religious people within Lumbini and within whole Nepal. I don’t understand why the Buddhist did such a terrorist activity in Myanmar expelling Muslims out of their own homeland. This is worst thing, inhuman behavior.

Many of the Buddhist come to Lumbini for pilgrimage. I am afraid if they start spreading message of hatred in this region too as they are doing in their country in Myanmar. It is the duty of Muslims of Lumbini that they should convey the message of peace to those visiting Buddhists from Myanmar. They should convey a message that 70% of Muslims helped with their land to make the holy land for Buddhism whereas 80% of Buddhist expelled Muslims from their homeland without any reason. Buddhists of Myanmar should know about the fact of their holy land- Lumbini.
